We have an exciting opportunity for a Future Quest Pre-HE Careers Advisor to join our college community. In this role, you will provide crucial guidance and support to pre-higher education students, empowering them to explore and achieve their career aspirations. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in preparing students for successful transitions to higher education, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in their chosen paths. Join us in making a positive impact on the educational journeys of our students and contributing to their future success., As a Future Quest Pre-HE Careers Advisor at City of Bristol College, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a specialised careers service aimed at prospective higher education (HE) students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide impartial careers information, advice, and guidance through workshops and one-on-one sessions, ensuring each student receives personalised support via email, phone, or face-to-face interactions. You will monitor student attendance and progress at events, collecting data to meet project objectives and reporting regularly to management groups on identified risks and issues. Your role will involve drafting reports, preparing briefings, and delivering presentations, including representing Future Quest at school and college events to promote career aspirations and graduate employability. In addition, you will develop and deliver tailored careers resources and workshops, and collaborate closely with stakeholders within the Future Quest partnership, attending meetings to advocate for comprehensive careers information, advice, and guidance (CIAG) representation. Utilising your specialist knowledge, you will contribute to Future Quest projects and provide leadership for short-term initiatives.
