Global Independence Manager, Deloitte Global Risk and Brand Protection

As a Manager reporting to the Global Independence Controls Leader, you will oversee two of Global Independence's strategic goals: the implementation of a new global quality control standards (QC1000) and ensuring firms maintain high-quality independence quality controls. Your key responsibilities include:

• Understanding and developing solutions for the new QC1000 standards in collaboration with firm and global experts.
• Supporting firms in implementing this new standard.
• Reviewing firms' independence quality controls, suggesting improvements and remedial actions.
• Creating and updating global materials and tools to support the independence quality controls.
• Working with firm independence teams on the most complex technical independence issues.
• Leading training sessions and global webcasts on independence topics.
  
  Proven experience preferably in audit or a firm's risk or independence management function.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
• Cultural sensitivity to work in a global environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of IESBA, SEC and PCAOB independence standards.
• Familiar with audit / control review processes and approaches.
• Ability to research and think analytically.
• A self-starter who takes initiative to get things done, yet a team player.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships).
