We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for experienced Health Care Assistants to come and join our expanding teams on our Acute Inpatients wards within the Directorate of Mental Health. Our Mental Health Services provide voluntary and in-voluntary short-term in-patient management and treatment during an acute phase of mental illness, until the person has recovered enough to be treated effectively and safely in the community. The role of the HCA will be to work as part of the nursing team. It will support people through their recovery with both their physical health and their mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a healthcare setting, excellent communication skills and passionate about providing great care to patients., We ask that you demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to problem solve and negotiate. We believe all our staff can develop leadership qualities and if you can demonstrate yours, there will be opportunities to nurture and develop them.

Please note that the Healthcare Assistants work a rota system of Long Days (12 hr shifts) Day and Night covering a 7-day working week.

We can offer Part time and Full time posts, however the minimum you will be required to work is 23 hours per week.
