Full Job Description

Join us in this role where you'll be supporting our offshore wind farms in UK East Region and take responsibility for undertaking all manner of maintenance activities on our HV assets. The role will be based both onshore and offshore, and you'll report to the East Coast Hub Senior HV & Transmission Manager. Welcome to Regional Support You'll be part of HV Specialists where you, together with your colleagues, will manage our high-voltage assets, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and act as a site supervisor for contractors and working parties. As a team, we manage and maintain the HV side of over 590 wind turbine generators and seven offshore substations, together working continuously to learn and develop in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment You'll play an important role in:

  • providing safety for both planned and unplanned works on the high voltage network
  • creating and following high voltage switching schedules and preparing, issuing, and cancelling safety documents
  • training authorised persons to prepare them for authorisation in single-end feed high-voltage switching for planned works
  • handling communication and technical support for the wider organisations group's management.

    have previous authorisation as a senior authorised person or Authorised Person at levels from 33kV to 400kV and are a safety-focused individual with faultless good safety behaviour
  • have demonstrable electro-mechanical competences that can be evidenced through a portfolio of achievements
  • have completed a recognised apprenticeship and HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
  • have knowledge of HV protection systems and demonstrable knowledge of maintenance management and process control systems
  • are able to take on increasing levels of responsibility and can document previous responsibility for high-value assets.
