  • Requirements of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

    We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and hard-working Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our fabulous team, enhancing the learning and development of pupils across KS1 and KS2. In this role, you'll support Class Teachers in delivering engaging lessons and serve as a positive role model for learning. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of learners' needs and development, alongside experience in managing positive behavior strategies. You'll be responsible for identifying and implementing interventions, ensuring they are effective and supportive to each student's progress. Ideal candidates will have experience working in a school or similar setting, including planning and delivering whole-class lessons. A calm, professional approach is essential, as is a commitment to contributing positively to the overall effectiveness of teaching.   • A relevant undergraduate degree such as a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies or a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent passes in maths and English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Registrations required to be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
