Full Job Description

  • Teach History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level History for the right candidate.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials to align with the school's objectives and national standards.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing tailored feedback to support academic development and achievement.
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching, address learning gaps, and offer individual support to students.
  • Engage in reflective practice, contributing to the continuous improvement of the department and the wider school.
  • Participate in the broader school community, supporting extracurricular activities and school events.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching History in secondary schools.
  • A thorough understanding of the national curriculum for History.
  • A Bachelor's degree in History or a related field (desirable).
