Full Job Description
You will be the face of Council housing, managing around 150 tenancies for older people in designated blocks of flats and schemes. You will ensure that clients are safeguarded and the flats and schemes are safe to live in, you will show personal resilience when delivering an excellent customer service. Knowledge about the Regulations for Social Housing and experience of administering secure tenancies for a public authority is vital too. An interest in the application of IT for the care and support of older people is desirable. You must be able to drive to cover schemes from Chessington, New Malden & Kingston Town Centre
About Us
The team comprises 5 permanent housing officers and one lead officer delivering intensive housing services to a range of people aged 60 or older. You will work closely with Adult Social Care, Health, Voluntary Agencies, Occupational Therapy, Repairs and Maintenance Services to deliver a positive customer experience. Satisfaction with the Council as landlord is rising as we invest in the training and development of staff and in the properties we own and manage too.
Experience of managing tenants living in a range of properties for a minimum of 2 years.
Able to build rapport and trust quickly and easily with older people
Experience of using IT to record every action to ensure every home is safe in terms of fire, gas supply, electric circuits and appliances.
Knowledge and experience of applying health and safety regarding communal areas, laundries, lounges, shared bathrooms, and emergency personal alarms
Desirable Chartered institute of Housing or willing to undertake this qualification .
