Full Job Description
We are recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our HR team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting HR processes and initiatives, ensuring that work is processed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administration and payroll experience looking to further their career in HR. Responsibilities include: Pay and Benefits
- Assisting the HR Administrator with monthly payroll processes, supporting with queries and ensuring tasks such as bonus, bonus sacrifice, and leave transactions are processed correctly.
- Conducting second checks on the monthly payroll, ensuring all contractual changes, benefits, and payments are processed accurately.
- Supporting the HR Manager and HR Assistant in reviewing our benefits package and sourcing staff discounts/corporate partnerships where appropriate.
- Assisting with pension scheme queries, discrepancies and updates, and collaborating with the HR team to resolve issues.
- Acting as an escalation point and supporting the HR Administrator with any queries relating to pension, childcare vouchers, eye-care, Private Medical Insurance, staff discounts. New Starters, Internal Movers, and Leavers
- Supporting the HR Assistant to deliver HR training for all new starters as part of the welcome workshop.
- Managing the HR Survey Monkey account, saving feedback questionnaires into relevant staff files and conducting the feedback meetings where appropriate.
- Supporting the HR team by analysing new starter/leaver feedback appropriately and identifying common themes or trends.
- Supporting the HR team by producing relevant MI to support the trends identified in new starter/leaver feedback. Administration and Reporting
- Supporting the HR Administrator with complex queries that come in via the HR inbox.
- Completing the second check on all letters that have been drafted by the HR Administrator.
- Assisting with the administration of the annual PDR process.
- Supporting the HR team by drafting letters for employee relations cases and producing relevant MI and reports to support the HR team's caseload.
- Assisting the HR team by producing the relevant people reports to support their employee relations caseload (e.g. sickness absence, career history, live warnings). HR Social
- Maintaining the 'key dates' calendar containing all important dates that should be recognised and celebrated across the business i.e. Mental Health Awareness Week, Black History Month, International Women's Day, Pride etc.
- Supporting the HR Assistant in creating suggestions and ideas on how those 'key dates' should be celebrated across the business and providing support with the running those events.
- Supporting the organisation of the Summer and Christmas parties, liaising with the Marketing team where necessary. Person Specification The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of HR administration experience, including supporting and processing payroll. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to analyse data and generate MI using Excel. You will be confident managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. A Level 3 CIPD qualification is preferred, though this can be sponsored by the company if not already obtained.
