Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit Manager to join our General Insurance team! This is a great role for an inquisitive and motivated individual to join a high-performing team and help influence risk and control improvements across Aviva General Insurance. A bit about the job: In Internal Audit we focus on what matters, to make things better for Aviva. We continuously refine our understanding of the most important risks; those which affect our business and customers. We couple this knowledge with professional judgement and proactive relationship management, to inform our work, influence management and motivate change. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in influencing the general insurance risk and control agenda, through:
- developing risk and business knowledge - both your own and that of the wider team.
- building effective relationships with business teams.
- working collaboratively with colleagues to plan, project manage and report audit assignments across a range of important risks and business areas. You will also be able to contribute to the wider success of the Internal Audit function through our transformation and continuous improvement projects. - Previous Internal or External Audit experience or equivalent risk and control experience in an insurance or relevant financial services function, audit firm or UK regulator
- Knowledge of finance, financial risk or actuarial risks, especially in the insurance industry
- Good project management and organisation, to design and co-ordinate audit activities across teams
- Strong communication - both written and verbal - to present results clearly and build rapport with key business partners
