Full Job Description

The post is for 6 months initially with the option to extend to 1 year. The post will start in August 2025. This Junior Fellow post would suit applicants seeking further experience in critical care medicine whilst they are awaiting ST appointments or preparing for examinations. The Intensive Care Unit currently consists of up to 10 level three and 12 level two beds split between two areas, one of which is a new, state of the art, purpose built extension including 8 level two bed spaces and 4 positive pressure lobby isolation rooms. Over 1400 patients are admitted annually with around 50% coming from surgical specialties.,

  • A wide experience of patient management
  • Practical interventions and both bedside and formal teaching are offered.
  • Consultant supervision is available on a 24-hour basis from Consultant Intensivists.
  • Opportunities may arise for the Clinical Fellow to take part in research and career development is actively encouraged.

    Experience in anaesthesia available.

    £42,008 to £49,909 a year DoE plus £149.00 Per annum for London weighting
