Full Job Description

All studies are coordinated at department level and overseen by the Research and Innovation (R&I) Office.

You will work as part of the R&I core Governance team with a focus on continually growing our collaborative and investigator led Research portfolio, while optimizing the delivery of high quality research within the organisation.

The number of research studies within the Trust is continuously growing and we need someone who can engage at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, using a high degree of emotional intelligence, offer ongoing support, training and problem solve in a calm, logical manner, while working under pressure to competing deadlines.

The primary duty of the post holder will be to help manage and provide expert advice on Governance processes, while working with research delivery teams and the wider multi-disciplinary team in negotiating and setting up multiple studies. Experience in Research Governance and Regulatory requirements is an essential part of this role., You will play a key role in supporting the research portfolio, working with the leadership team on leading on RBFT's regional and national research meetings with the NIHR and other research stakeholders. Oversight and management of budgets, recruitment responsibilities, internal/external reporting, as well as line management of staff as required.

Attention to detail and the ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously are essential requirements for this role.

Ideally you will have previous practical experience of research governance and working with all levels of staff across the organisation.
