Learning Assistant

The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the students, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

has relevant knowledge and experience working with young people or children
is able to nurture positive and caring relationships
the ability to use their initiative and personalise the pupil's learning to meet their academic and well-being needs
possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, parents and outside agencies as well as participate in annual reviews, contributing to meetings regarding the pupils learning and progress
a working knowledge of the National Curriculum
a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
can be flexible, creative and enthusiastic about their position
has high expectations of themselves, always striving for the best
