Full Job Description

Please be aware of this when submitting your application. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the pharmacist placement programme with Sunderland University. This role will encompass creating, planning, coordinating, and delivering high quality placements for undergraduate student pharmacists at Sunderland University, hosted at South Tees Hospitals. The post holder will work closely with external colleagues at Sunderland University to ensure we create and provide meaningful experiential learning environments for students, aligned with both the GPHC and University requirements to complete entrustable learning activities ,and meet the learning outcomes stipulated in the initial education and training standards for pharmacists.,

  • Facilitate student placements, including timetabling, mentoring, teaching and leadership
  • Receive feedback and evaluation of placements and make improvements accordingly
  • Devise resources/policies/protocols that support high quality entrustable learning activities and learning opportunities for students whilst on placement.
  • Support with education and training of the wider pharmacy department regarding the changes to undergraduate training
  • About us Leadership and Improvement Training South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to Explore leadership within the NHS Promote Trust Values and Behaviours Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
