Full Job Description

All colleagues within the College contribute to the success of our students and we actively work to eliminate any barriers at work, ensuring you have the opportunity to thrive., You will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical lessons in various trades, such as carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, and property maintenance. This will involve designing and delivering courses for diverse learners for 16-18-year-old provisions. You will deliver engaging lessons and assess students' progress through assignments and practical tasks, and will contribute to the design and development of curriculum content to meet industry standards. You will work closely with colleagues and students throughout the organisation to foster a culture of high-quality customer service, flexibility and responsiveness, in line with the College's high aspirations for learners.

Preferred attributes include teaching or assessor qualifications such as PGCE or A1 Assessor (or preparedness to achieve one during the first two years' or service), recent teaching experience, and familiarity with safeguarding and compliance standards. Some roles may require flexibility for evening or weekend work and the ability to travel between campuses. Eligible further education (FE) teachers can claim a targeted retention incentive payment for teaching specific courses in certain subject areas, including building and construction. You can apply for the first round of levelling up premium payments from autumn 2024 until spring 2025.
