Full Job Description

Dependent upon the appointment, this post will involve leadership of the secondary PGCE provision managing the day-to-day running of the programme and supporting other Secondary ITT tutors and trainees. The post includes classroom-based and practical teaching. In addition, you will be marking and moderating trainee course work, visiting trainees on placement and working with mentors, being involved in the recruitment of secondary trainees as well as providing pastoral and academic support to our trainees. You will also support and contribute to some teaching across our undergraduate QTS degree in Science and Maths. You will also contribute to the research and knowledge exchange activities within the university.     Previous experience of leading a secondary ITT programme with QTS (either HEI based or school-based),
  • Previous experience of contributing to the delivery of an ITT secondary QTS provision (either HEI based or school-based),
  • Has QTS
  • Has experience in secondary Maths, Science or English
  • Has a doctorate or is enrolled currently in a doctoral degree program
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the professional issues in becoming a teacher
  • Has supported trainees on placement and worked with mentors, Disability Confident

We are seeking to appoint an individual to either lead and/or contribute to our Secondary PGCE provision., Plymouth Marjon University is a small University with our students at the heart of everything we do.
