Salary range: £31,716 - £35,862 per annum

This department is responsible for housing, communities and improving the lives of local residents. This includes landlord services and estate management, planning, refurbishment, and advice and support to help maintain healthy and safe homes.

A significant part of our work is focused on creating stronger communities through completing refurbishment work to the available voids and ensuring that we're letting homes of a good standard to our residents.

In response to London's affordable homes crisis, we are committed to building more social housing to help people on lower incomes to live, work, and raise their families in the borough. Our housing team also work closely with affordable housing providers and other agencies to manage homelessness and give support to older residents to live independently.

The Role:

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work as a Lettings Assistant within Housing Management.

You will be working closely with internal colleagues and departments to ensure prompt turnaround of empty homes and deliver a successful voids and lettings service.

You will be responsible for administrative tasks involved in the voids and lettings process ensuring efficient management of the termination of tenancies, decants and management transfers.

You will also be required to arrange and conduct viewings as well as facilitating the signing of the tenancy agreement in addition to ensuring the tenancies are correctly set up on the relevant systems.

About You:

The successful candidate will desirably have experience working in a local authority or with a social housing landlord. Lettings experience is also desired.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, an outgoing character and an enthusiastic approach to your work.

You should be able to demonstrate your commitment of delivering a high quality service to our residents.

Able to demonstrate effective problem solving skills and a good work ethic whilst maintaining a focused and positive attitude at all times.

Able to build and maintain effective partnerships with teams and contractors involved in the lettings process.
