About the role

Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am to 5pm and as a part of a close-knit team, you'll be undertaking minor reactive repairs and carrying out planned maintenance works which includes painting and decorating, health and safety checks, grounds maintenance, gardening, and refuse & recycling management. You'll also need to be competent with minor electrical maintenance as you'll be responsible for the installation of white goods, carrying out visual PAT testing, changing plugs and fuses, emergency lighting checks and replacing lamps and light ballasts.

As part of the role, you'll be responsible for managing the large commercial waste bins which are stored outside the building. This includes ensuring the bins are prepared for the weekly collection and making sure the storage area is kept orderly and safe.

As we work in our residents' living spaces, you'll need to be a good communicator who always demonstrates professionalism and can ensure discretion and diplomacy when needed, including maintaining confidentiality regards recording sensitive information.

We're looking for an outgoing person who has strong communication skills and is confident in their ability to undertake general maintenance works, both planned and reactive and can adapt to different situations whilst maintaining professionalism.
