Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our dedicated breast imaging team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a mammography associate practitioner / assistant practitioner.

We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate individual who is a qualified associate practitioner / assistant practitioner in Mammography. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. The candidate will need experience of working with patients as part of the NHS breast screening programme.

The breast imaging team at Oxford includes four Consultant Radiologists, Consultant Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners, Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners/Mammography Associates and Radiology Assistants.

The breast screening service provides a screening service to the Oxfordshire community with 2 mobile screening vans and 2 static screening sites. In addition, the service supports a symptomatic breast service at the Horton General Hospital at Banbury and the Churchill Hospital in Oxford.

Mammography Associates will work as an Assistant Practitioner within the breast imaging workforce undertaking routine 2 view mammography (x- ray images of breasts) as part of the NHS breast screening programme and on individuals with symptoms of breast disease., Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.
