Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join our growing team at Edgar Wood Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to helping students realise their academic potential. The successful candidate will teach Maths to students aged 11-16 and will contribute to our students' learning through creative and engaging teaching strategies.,

  • Teach Maths to KS3 and KS4 students, using a variety of engaging teaching strategies.
  • Ensure lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes equality and celebrates diversity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan lessons, schemes of work, and assessment strategies that support student progress.
  • Support the school's ethos of high expectations and a "can-do" culture, motivating students to achieve their best.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school, including extra-curricular activities.

    You will be an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner, dedicated to developing your skills and inspiring students to love learning Maths. You will work well as part of a team and demonstrate a commitment to the school's values and aspirations.
