Full Job Description
The Medical and Dental Future Workforce Team, within Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education, works across the Midlands to support a wide variety of stakeholders - including resident doctors (doctors in training), Supervisors, NHS Trust staff in Medical Education and others. Our business includes the provision of support to Postgraduate Schools in Foundation and Secondary Care (hospitals). This includes the preparation and management of an annual School Business Plan for each of our 25 Schools, supporting Board Meetings, event management and commercial activities. There are four Co-ordinator roles in the team, each supporting a defined area including line management of one or two staff. You will have excellent leadership and management skills, be highly organised and an be excellent relationship manager - so a great communicator. We are proud to be a diverse team. We work across the region from wherever we are based and come together in a single site for face-to-face meetings regularly, to develop our own internal relationships with each other, learn together and celebrate our successes as a team.Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the delivery of key business objectives, on time and to a high quality. You will be responsible for the in-year management of School Business Plans, delegating appropriately to the Administrators supporting you. This role will include many aspects including financial management, event support, relationship management, line management. You will work to a high standard of performance and behaviour, leading by example. This will include providing direction and support to the staff within your part of the team and working with others across the wider team to ensure business delivery in all our team areas (eg provision of cover where necessary so the team's objectives are delivered). You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally - confident to build and maintain excellent working relationships within the team and with our stakeholders. You will be solutions-focussed, manage your time well and be able to lead and inspire those around you to achieve excellent results. With the Deputy Managers and the senior staff, you will meet to discuss and review team performance, staff development and business delivery., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
