Medical Education Teaching Fellow - Medicine

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified medical practitioner to join Hywel Dda University Health Board's progressive team of medical educators, in the role of Medical Education Teaching Fellow for the department of Medicine in Glangwili General Hospital.
This full time teaching fellow role is being offered on a 6 month fixed term basis and expectations of the role include supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across all medical specialties, in addition to providing generic teaching sessions for all medical students.
Despite there being no specific clinical service requirement associated with the role, the Health Board will offer clinical sessions to the teaching fellow within the medical department in a supernumerary capacity, to allow the successful candidate opportunities to keep up to date. On-call sessions will also be optional where there are rota gaps. The successful candidate will also be allocated time within the working week for continuing professional development., Delivering ward and classroom based teaching for Medical and Physician Associate Students in accordance with relevant curricula and learning needs
-Delivering ward and classroom based teaching and undertaking workplace based assessments for Junior Doctors

The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.
