Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the newly established Best Value Medicines and Biologics Team. This innovative team will drive cost-saving initiatives in biologic medicines while ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care. By identifying, promoting, and implementing strategies to maximise savings for both commissioners and the Trust, the team will focus on optimising biologic prescribing and usage, ensuring value for money without compromising clinical effectiveness and safety., As a specialist pharmacist in this dynamic team, you will build on your foundational knowledge and skills while gaining experience across multiple clinical areas. You will work collaboratively with clinical and financial stakeholders, including prescribers, clinical pharmacists, commissioners, and procurement teams, to identify and implement cost efficiencies, particularly in the use of biosimilars and other biologic therapies. The role involves assisting clinical teams, rotating based on where savings are identified, and supporting all aspects of mobilising cost-saving opportunities, as directed by the Best Value Medicines and Biologics Lead Pharmacist.
