If you are a Band 5 practitioner looking for a new opportunity to grow and develop into a Band 6 role, there is an opportunity to join the BaNES & Wiltshire CAMHS SPA. The team is looking to recruit a successful Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner role with a view that over 12 months, you'll be part of a team who will train you, share our expertise and guidance, for you to progress to securing a Band 6 - Senior Mental Health practitioner position.

We welcome applications from Mental health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social workers.

Whilst the Trust provides a generic induction, here in BSW CAMHS we offer all new starters a comprehensive local induction pack with a week by week guide to support your familiarity and understanding of the team/s.

As an organisation we offer flexibility in terms of hours and work base. We recognise the importance of flexible working to ensure a healthy work life balance and would be open to the possibility of home working for a proportion of the working week following a satisfactory period of induction and evidence of competence to work independently and safely., You'll work with other clinicians providing, support, assessment and treatment options for young people; the role is delivered via virtual or phone consultations. The role requires collaboration with the network supporting the young person to facilitate a package of care whether this is via external agencies or accessing support from CAMHS.

The post places strong emphasis on your ability to undertake and collate detailed biopsychosocial assessments to formulate a plan of support. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, willing to learn and grow; yet be able to work independently and complete work within a given timeframe.

This is a great opportunity to build confidence, skills, knowledge in this area of CAMHS. The BaNES & Wiltshire Single Point of Access is a well established team who are enthusiastic to support and develop a successful candidates. Both roles are supported with regular clinical, managerial and safeguarding supervision. The Band 5 developmental role will be supported with clear goals and actions in order for a successful candidate to professional develop and progress to Band 6.

In BSW we have a strong commitment to staff development and progression. Our training programme includes multiple internal trainings relevant to CAMHS, it also links with external trainings funded through HEE. Managers work closely with all staff to ensure they have the right trainings to enable them to confidently and competently deliver high standard interventions.
