Full Job Description

How You Will Make a Difference: As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will support individuals in regaining confidence and engaging in social and workplace activities. You'll work closely with service users to achieve their personal goals and access necessary support on their recovery journey.

  • Provide key worker support, including one-on-one assistance and liaising with other mental health agencies.
  • Focus on individual needs, using communication, motivation, and coaching to support users in achieving their goals.
  • Build rapport based on respect and honesty, maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.
  • Assist with property re-lets, processing referrals, day to day running of a service, and health and safety of the schemes we manage.

    Transferable life/work experience relevant to this role.
  • Good listening skills, empathy, understanding, kindness, patience, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Charity's values.
  • Experience in supporting people with mental illness or providing care/support services in a housing setting (paid or voluntary) is a plus.
  • Excellent administration, organisation and planning skills.
  • Competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft applications, email and internet.
  • It will be necessary to travel to our site in Stroud as well as Cheltenham, so it will be useful to be able to drive. Caring for our people.
