Full Job Description
Do you want to make a difference in people's lives? We're looking for a Night Support Mentor in Kensington and Chelsea to support 10 people currently rough sleeping. This project is part of the government's End Rough Sleeping for Good strategy. You'll provide trauma-informed support, helping people stay safe, make positive changes, and move forward. You'll also work closely with the council and outreach teams. RBKC Services: We help people with challenges like mental health, homelessness, and substance use. Our support focuses on care, trust, and helping people rebuild their lives. Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a 7-day rota, including night and late shifts over a 6-week cycle. This is within a 24/7 service providing face-to-face support. It's ideal for someone who can work flexibly at night, communicate well with others, and is motivated to support people overcoming homelessness and other challenges.
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
- Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
