Full Job Description

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in the Torbay team, as a full time Band 6 Occupational Therapist, within Adult Social Care., As part of this role, you may have supervisory responsibility for a Band 5 post or Assistant Practitioner as appropriate

Undertake responsibility for managing a community caseload

Assess and treat patients in a variety of community settings; patient's own home, nursing homes, residential home

You will be an excellent communicator, competent in a wide range of clinical areas such as moving and handling, postural positioning, and home adaptations. You will demonstrate flexible problem-solving skills whilst working autonomously or with colleagues from the multi-disciplinary team. You will be part of a supportive team and supervise band 5 colleagues or students to evolve and nurture our future workforce.

To be eligible for this role, you must be a state registered occupational therapist with the HCPC and have full access to a vehicle for work and possession of a full driving license.

The adult social care occupational therapy team are a supportive team who enjoy mentoring team members and students and are passionate about delivering quality care to people with both physical and/or mental health disabilities.

We work in an integrated way with allied health care professionals within the locality, making a difference and helping people through their recovery and returning to health and independence.
