I am a lively and intelligent 19-year-old with cerebral palsy who is looking for a fun and supportive PA for the days I'm not in college to support me at home and to help me access activities in the community. This is a varied role: sometimes I like to just chill out and relax at home and other days I like to get out and about exploring in my powered wheelchair or visiting cafes and pubs. I don't let my cerebral palsy stop me doing what I'd like…sometimes I just need a bit of extra help to do it!

Duties include:

Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Other relevant duties as required
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Someone who would be willing to drive our small wheelchair accessible vehicle would be great, but not essential
Candidate qualities

Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
In this role, I would need someone who is calm and patient - allowing me to do what I can for myself - but who shows initiative and gives me support when I need it.
Someone who is willing to fit in with family life and join us on trips out, as an extra pair of hands would be brilliant.
I have a great sense of humour, enjoy a bit of banter and would love someone to join me in helping me live my life to the full!
