Full Job Description

This isa varied and interesting role, with an emphasis on ensuring that appropriateevidence is provided to investigate and support the management of claims. Therole also involves working with NHS Resolution and panel firms and thesuccessful candidate will support investigation of claims brought against theTrust, liaise with Trust clinicians, NHS Resolution or the appointed panelfirm, as well as supporting learning from claims or inquests. This roleis very focused on supporting front line staff and would suit someone whoreally wants to make a difference!, Forfull details of the duties and criteria for the role please refer to the jobdescription and person specification attached.

  • Able to meet the travel requirements of the role
  • You understand that we will not provide sponsorship to work for this role., Law degree or ILEX part 1 or level 3 or equivalent
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
  • Knowledge Essential
  • A good understanding of the English legal system as well as the principles of negligence
  • Basic knowledge of the rules of procedure of the Employment Tribunal, Coroners Court and County Court
  • Experience Essential
  • Previous experience in using various computer packages Word, Outlook, Excel etc.
  • Previous experience of undertaking paralegal work in the fields of personal injury, clinical negligence, employment or inquests
  • Desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar Health or Social Care environment
  • A good understanding of patient confidentiality and the Data Protection Act
