Full Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Paralegal to join us in our commercial development and investment team which focuses on large acquisitions, lettings (for both landlords and tenants) and development schemes. The team is structured with senior lawyers, junior fee earners and a paralegal, working together and effectively across a large mix of clients and work types. As a Paralegal in the team you will be working on legal transactional work, including running your own matters, under supervision, together with provision of support to the all members of the team on larger deals including:

  • Preparation of initial documentation/liaising with the fee earners in relation to issue of those documents/assisting in the management of matters.
  • Handling completion and post completion aspects.
  • Running and maintenance of lower value legal matters under supervision of the team including drafting documents, billing, liaison with clients, other firms of solicitors and agents.
  • Obtaining copies of entries and documents from Land Registry and carrying out searches and other land registry dealings as required by the team members from time to time.

    We are looking for someone who has:
  • Some experience of working in a legal environment would be preferable but not essential.
  • An understanding of the procedural elements of commercial property transactions gained either in a practical legal environment or during academic legal training.
  • Experience of developing strong working relationships with colleagues and working as part of a team.
  • Highly organised with excellent case management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent IT skills.
  • Able to work well and remain calm under pressure.
