Full Job Description

You will work under the supervision of community dietitians, supporting patients and their families to implement dietary plans and and additionally support research projects within the department.

This will involve attending clinics in paediatric community hubs and the hospital, speaking to families over the phone, via email and face-to-face, and supporting patient education sessions.

You will carry out both clinical tasks i.e.. weighing and measuring, and administrative tasks.

If you have a passion and interest in good nutrition, an enthusiastic attitude to work and a desire to help children and families, this may be the job for you., Experience of working with people is essential, with knowledge and / or an appreciation of different cultures, religions, ethnic groups and disabilities.

Experience in healthcare and working with children is desirable. You must be able to drive, and have your own vehicle to travel with Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

Good communication skills, written and spoken English, basic Maths and good IT literacy are essential.

As the post involves some lone working, you must be self-motivated and show initiative, whilst recognising limitations. Good attention to detail is essential.
