Personal assistant required funded through a direct payment to enable a happy, bubbly young person to develop social and life skills, to provide supervision while accessing the local community and help to develop their overall independence away from the family home., We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support a happy, fun loving male aged 14. The individual looking for support enjoys going to the park, cooking, visiting the local fair, playing on his iPad and is a big fan of One Direction. We are looking for someone to support this individual to access the local community and participate in fun activities of his choice and provide guidance and supervision to keep him safe while doing so. The individual has downs syndrome, ADHD and autism and is looking for someone with patience and a good sense of humour to support him to further develop his social and life skills. • To access the local community safely
• To participate in clubs and activities of the citizen's choice (going to the park, baking etc)
• To provide companionship as well as 1:1 supervision.
• To develop their social and life skills.
• To improve overall independence.
  
  Full driving license and access to own vehicle
• Experience of working with children with disabilities.
• First aid training - desirable.
  
  5.6 weeks' holiday per year (pro-rata)
• Sick pay at SSP rate (if applicable)
