The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable., If you answered "YES" to these questions, how would you like to become a pharmacy assistant and join our large, friendly pharmacy team at Morriston?
The role we have on offer is a rotational position and will involve working within the pharmacy stores, procurement & distribution and Dispensary.
Providing a pharmacy ward top-up service to allocated ward(s) and receiving stock from suppliers within the pharmacy store.
You will assist in the delivery and collection of pharmacy items to and from wards and departments.
Within the Dispensary you will dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients, as well as greeting patients and staff at our reception. The reception area is a busy, dynamic environment where you will be able to use all your communication skills to their full potential.
Previous Pharmacy experience is desirable but not necessary as training will be given in all aspects of the job, including use of the computer system., Equality remains at the centre of the Health Boards policy-making, service delivery and employment practices. Are you enthusiastic, highly motivated and have a flexible approach to work?
Do you have an eye for detail, good communication skills and desire to work within a friendly team?, You will also be expected to attain the NVQ Level 2 within 12 months of taking up the post. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with good time management and organisational skills., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
