Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within the county of Carmarthenshire, for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Children and Young People's Physiotherapy Team.

The role is varied and diverse, working with Children and Young People from birth to age 25 with a variety of health conditions, in a variety of locations including patients homes, clinics, hospital wards, hydrotherapy and education settings.

The post holderwill have experience of using highly skilled handling techniques and will be able to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills to assess and treat patients within protocols without immediate direct supervision.

The ideal candidate will be expected to travel in a timely manner within the Hywel Dda University Health Board area.

The successful candidate will be able to work under supervision as well as independently, support innovation and training, and will have the ability to work flexibly in a team. Relevant evidence of experience in patient care is desired.

We are looking for anenthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with patients and their families. They must havethe ability to adapt their communication, interaction and handling skills to suit a variety of service users with a variety of needs.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
