As the Portfolio Governance & Controls Lead, you will support the Channels programme leadership as a central source of truth through the collation and analysis of programme information, aiming at ensuring the safe delivery of the programmes of work. You will be tasked with setting up and growing the PMO/Governance function within Channels technology, whilst also identifying roles/resources needed to support the function as it evolves. You and your team will work in close collaboration with the programme team and wider stakeholders, including various 3rd parties, building effective working relationships at all levels, and offering consultancy support.,

  • Facilitate and support project planning, including the development of robust project plans, identification of key milestones, dependencies, critical paths, risks and assumptions, ensuring planning standards are followed.
  • Track the status and measure the variance of programme milestones and tasks against the plan.

  • Programme Reporting & Communication
  • Compile and analyse programme performance metrics for meaningful insights, identifying trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop reporting packages for various levels of the organisation, including senior management. Ensure data accuracy across all programme workstreams and address or escalate inconsistencies.
  • Programme Governance & Change Control
  • Champion a consistent approach, including standard policies, processes and templates across all programme workstreams.
  • Set up and maintain appropriate Documentation/Configuration Management systems following the necessary framework standards.
  • Programme Risk & Issue Management
  • Develop the central programme RAID log and monitor its accuracy, consistency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure risk and issue management procedures are followed.
  • Ensure risks and issues are prioritised and dealt with at an appropriate level of management.

  • 1. A minimum of 5 years of PMO experience, preferably in the IT / Technology sector. 2. A project management qualification or membership such as PRINCE2, P3O, APM or PMI. 3. Proven PMO experience on a large-scale complex multinational programme. 4. Proven experience in MSP (Managing Successful Programme) methodology with the associated use of the full Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Project Professional and Teams) and Sharepoint Online. 5. Pragmatic, practical and results-driven. Able to deliver in the face of varied and frequent challenges.
