Full Job Description

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to 5S/Lean and health and safety requirements.
  • Minimise waste in time and materials while consistently meeting targets.
  • Operate and maintain company tools and equipment, including CNC turning and vertical lathes.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding job progress and any issues.
  • Complete and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and manufacturing records accurately.
  • Assist with risk assessments, ensuring all production activities are safe and compliant.
  • Support other technicians with workloads as required and participate in audits and company improvement initiatives such as Lean and 5S.

    Apprentice training in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a related industry, with knowledge of manufacturing processes and standards.
  • Experience in CNC turning and vertical lathe operations is essential.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety requirements, including risk assessments and manual handling.
  • Familiarity with programming is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication, time management, and relationship management skills.
  • Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Basic PC skills and the ability to act independently.
