Full Job Description

As a Senior Practitioner your focus will be to support and coach the staff within your cluster / team to be the best in class, with a clear focus on culture change, to improve on performance, quality of practice and to deliver improved outcomes within a high support and high challenge environment. Your main responsibilities will be to supervise and oversee the management of your cluster, and the overall team delivery to have a One Team approach. You will support your cluster through regular supervision, ensuring the multiple complexities within the Adult Emergency Duty Team are managed in a timely manner, efficiently and effectively. In addition, you will undertake casefile audits, promoting a culture of shared learning and improvements with a strong team ethos that focuses on team performance, community development and partnership working.

Experience in Mental Health is essential to this post. Holding an AMHP qualification is desirable as the post will involve screening Mental Health Act Assessment requests and allocating resources. However, applications from both AMHPs and non-AMHPs are welcome as this team works with a significant number of adults requiring support in crisis situations. We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate and flexible candidates who demonstrate leadership abilities and are committed to working in a multidisciplinary setting. You must be eligible to be registered with Social Work England.

    The post requires working evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Weekly hours vary, equating to 36.5 hours per week working to a five-week rota. Enhanced Out of Hours payment of an additional 30% of your hourly wage after 8pm. Golden Hello payment - £1,000 (upon external appointment). Recruitment & Retention Payment - £5,000 per annum (paid monthly over a 12-month period, pro rota for part time staff).
