Pre Production Planner (CAD / CAM)

Designing and developing complex rotating assemblies for manufacture.
Re-engineering existing products.
Preparing detailed drawings and manufacturing instructions for issue to works.
Overseeing the entire manufacturing process of each job to ensure project deadlines are met
Develop and design new products in line with the technical specifications.
Produce product/component designs, from concept through to manufacturing readiness, using a high end 3D CAD package.
Produce supporting detail drawings and bills of materials for integration into product configuration and ERP software tools.
Produce technical documentation in accordance with the New Product Introduction Ability to produce documentation and deliverable reports which are correct in both detail and scope.
Ensure that Company quality procedures are adhered to.

Due to continued growth our client a world leader in the design, test, certification & manufacture of bespoke industrial rotating equipment seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience of SolidWorks.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, and a confident self-starter with drive to deliver change. They will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills., HNC/Degree in an Engineering Discipline, relevant QA Qualification or equivalent
Knowledge and awareness of engineering procedures
Extensive knowledge of engineering tools (i.e. SolidWorks)
Good problem solving skills
Strong communication, negotiation (internal) and diplomacy skills
Be able to produce accurate documentation
High level analytical abilities
Excellent persuasion and presentation skills
Pro-active self-starter, capable of working on own initiative
Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work at all levels of the organisation
Awareness of manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing principles
Strong judgment & prioritisation skills
Employs a methodical and structured approach to tasks
