Project Controls Director - Pickering Are you looking for a company that works on major engineering projects all over the world? You've come to the right place!, The selected candidate will be key to support the strategy and execution of the successful development of a project Oversee and lead Project Controls strategy:

  • Participate in developing, enhancing adhering to project controls processes and procedures are in place.
  • Develop and lead Project Controls strategy for the project and Joint Venture.
  • Ensure Joint Venture partners are apprised through reporting and status updates.
  • Responsible for smooth operation and and management of project controls teams.
  • Identify and resolve issues, key variances and develop corrective action planning.
  • Report to a Project Director.
  • Create functional team strategy and Lead a team of Planners and Cost controllers and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Client interface with respect to project.

    Possess post-secondary education i.e. diploma or degree B.A., B.Sc, B.Eng, B.Com, PMP, AACE, or possess equivalent relevant industry experience in senior roles within project controls and or project management. Nuclear experience.
  • 15+ years of relevant Project cost and Schedule control experience, 5-10 years of which leading teams in complex engineering and construction projects environment.
  • Proficient in MS office suite of software, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Demonstrate problem solving abilities, including the ability to learn new software as per the company standards.
  • Expert knowledge of PMBOK / PMI project management techniques including hands on experience applying on large projects. i.e. critical path method planning, progress measurement and earned value techniques, analyzing data, and complex project reporting. Strong knowledge of the general project controls policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details are required.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work well with Clients and Alliance partners.
  • Ability to develop, build and maintain good working relationships leading a Project Controls team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior management.
  • Ability to mentor junior and intermediate staff and work with senior.
