Stantec's Water sector teams are building on what have been a very successful few years. Our growth strategy within the Water division for 2024 and beyond is exciting and is creating great opportunities for our teams. As part of this growth, we are looking to recruit a Project Manager - based from our High Wycombe, London or Reading offices (hybrid working supported). As a Project Manager within our Water sector you will be working on a variety of projects across the sector - helping our clients develop better ways of obtaining, cleaning and distributing water for our local communities. You will be partnering with the top Water clients in the UK, with project / clients including:

  • Thames Water - Design assurance for Thames Water Capital Delivery, Infrastructure design & build contracts, and multiple engineering studies and assessments for Thames Water across all delivery streams
  • High Speed Rail Phase 2B (HS2) - Our team is partnering with Bechtel in their role as delivery partner for the HS2 Phase 2B Hybrid Bill, under an 8-year contract. Our job? Supporting the management of a team of over 100 professional staff, located at HS2's Snow Hill office in Birmingham (Delivering High Speed Rail Phase 2B (stantec.com)
  • Southern Water - Stantec is a Strategic Solutions Partner to Southern Water and are working together on an iconic water project - Water for Life Hampshire (Water for Life - Hampshire (southernwater.co.uk)
  • In this role you will be given the opportunity to work alongside our technical teams and will be involved in the preparation of project bids and project planning, as well as building close relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be assisting in the delivery of projects from inception to completion and will ensure that they are delivered on time, to budget and of a high quality. All of our Project Managers will be automatically enrolled in the PM Boot Camp which is a corporate wide training programme covering important aspects of Project Management - we can cater for those looking to gain your Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or additional accreditations.     You will have prior experience within a project management role - most likely within the Water, Utilities or related Infrastructure sectors - in which you will have been responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards., You will have experience of managing multiple deadlines and on building successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders within an NEC contract., Any sort of project management qualification, such as APMQ, would be beneficial but if you haven't had the opportunity to gain formal qualifications then this is something we can support you with.
