Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would like to join our leading Development Team as Project Officer. The role will provide an opportunity to grow your skills in residential construction utilising project management in a supportive and large development team. You will be co-ordinating and managing construction projects alongside a team of Project Officers and Managers to ensure delivery of the development programme. Focussing primarily on post contract/on-site activities, you will be responsible for project management across a range of schemes and ensure their cost-effective delivery within specified budgets and timetables. Working alongside development colleagues, the Project Officer will champion emh's focus on providing high quality homes for sale and rent for our customers. You will be expected to manage the performance of multiple consultant teams involved in scheme delivery, whilst ensuring internal procedures are adhered to and monitoring against contracts and authorise payments to contractors and consultants.

The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and develop their knowledge of development project management in a Housing Association context. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles of the construction industry and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, positive, self-motivated and looking to progress their career within development. The nature of the role requires someone able to work on their own initiative, work under pressure to meet deadlines, organise workload and have strong negotiation skills, whilst being willing and able to support the wider team when required. The successful candidate will have the flexibility and willingness to work from home and across other emh sites., A Levels/NVQ Level 3 is essential Good digital and IT skills with Microsoft Office
