Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Manager to join our team. We have on-going departmental, NCRN and commercial clinical trial activity with many trials currently open to recruitment and further ones in development.

Some routine working at our satellite site at East Surrey Hospital will be required to cover the general operational management rota.

We look forward to meeting with should you feel that you would like to become part of our Royal Surrey Cancer Centre team., This post will provide managerial leadership for the radiography teams. You will be responsible for the operational processes of the radiotherapy service within the defined resources and establish key working relationships will be established with the other Managing Radiographers and the Lead Clinician for Radiotherapy, Consultant Clinical Oncologists, Radiotherapy Physics Staff and Technical Staff as well as the key members of the wider cancer centre.

The post holder will maintain the highest professional and technical standards of radiotherapy and maintain their clinical expertise by working clinically within the stereotactic field. The post holder will provide expertise in the stereotactic and adaptivefields, to ensure a robust and high quality patient pathway is provided from referral to discharge. A key role will be to develop, introduce and facilitate new techniques, ensuring teaching and training programmes are implemented within defined timescales.
