Full Job Description

For permanent Civil Servants, this role is only available on loan, so you must have your home departments approval to return to them at the end of the loan before you apply. There is no opportunity for a permanent Civil Servant to take on this role as a fixed term appointment. OGD applicants will be appointed on an inward loan and subject to the terms of the agreed inward loan. Internal candidates will return to their previous post at the end of the loan period, which will need to be agreed with your line manager in advance. If you're employed by a non-departmental public body (NDPB) by moving jobs this will involve a change of employer and you may break the statutory rules on continuity of employment. The Recruitment Admin Assistant is responsible for the smooth running of Digital Recruitment campaigns supporting a range of stakeholders including Hiring Managers and 3rd party providers. The role holder will proactively support the Digital Recruitment team working collaboratively to ensure all necessary admin tasks have been completed to ensure the smooth and efficient running of recruitment campaigns. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support Digital recruitment activities, completing necessary paperwork and recruitment related tasks in a timely manner e.g. downloading applications, issuing results to candidates, booking and facilitating interviews.
  • Monitor and proactively manage all pre-employment checks to ensure they are completed as efficiently as possible e.g. DBS checks, right to work checks etc.
  • Contact candidates to collect documents, book interviews or support through the online pre-employment checking process.
  • Update necessary trackers and stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate Digital Recruitment team communications.
  • Research, book and attend appropriate careers events to help raise the profile of DVSA Digital with potential candidates.
