Do you enjoy working outside? Are you committed to maintaining a clean and tidy environment? Wyre Forest District Council have a great opportunity to do this and join our team as a Refuse Loader, where you will be expected to: -

  • Assisting the driver in the safe and efficient collection of waste from residential and commercial areas.
  • Loading waste containers and securely placing them on the vehicle to prevent spillage during the transportation
  • Working as part of a team to maintain a steady and organised flow of waste collection
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations to minimise workplace hazards.
  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and concerns from the general public

    You must be physically fit and able to walk 8 - 10 miles
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions.

  • The Post Holder is required to work hours to meet the needs of the service.
  • Basic weekly hours are 37 with 4 and 5 day weekly patterns in place.
  • The working week may include weekend working, (Saturday and Sunday) to meet the needs of the service.
