Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Resuscitation Clinical Lead at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The Resuscitation Clinical Lead will be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of both basic and advanced life support training throughout the Trust. This will require regular reassessment and changes. He/she will be expected to respond to adult cardiac arrest calls; paediatric emergency calls, acting as an expert member of the team and facilitating experiential learning and team debrief. On occasion he/she will be expected to lead the cardiac arrest team.

They will be responsible for the development, implementation and revision of the Trusts resuscitation policies. They will encourage evidence-based practice Trust wide by developing and revising hospital resuscitation guidelines, procedures and training in the light of new research and audit. The Resuscitation Department Clinical Lead will manage the Trusts resuscitation audits including the National Cardiac Arrest Audit (NCAA) and will be responsible for closing the audit loop by implementing change where indicated. The role involves presentation of key data at senior organisation level., The Resuscitation Clinical Lead will be responsible for:

-The planning and provision of all aspects of resuscitation training

-Ensuring a safe resuscitation services throughout the organisation

-Attending resuscitation attempts

-Acting as a professional resource/advocate

-Ensuring evidenced based practice, Service Improvement for Beginners
