Retirement Housing Assistants- Part Time

We currently have opportunities for a Retirement Housing Assistants to join our team at our brand-new facility at Cathedral Park, Hereford. As this is a brand-new facility, you will have the opportunity to have real input and get to know the facility before it opens to residents. As a Retirement Housing Assistant, you'll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this, you will be manning the phone lines, sending queries to the Retirement Housing Officers, signposting to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and to gain valuable learning experience from Retirement Housing Officers. Whilst the role is based at our new Cathedral Park site, you will be initially based at Rose Gardens whilst construction is completed. You will also be required to travel to other Platform offices as required. This is a part-time position working an average of 16 hours per week, including sleep-ins and out-of-hours coverage. The role primarily involves evenings and weekends, with some additional hours during the week. Shift patterns will be on a 4-week rota basis. You will also participate in an out of hours standby rota, to provide occasional phone-based support to our Retirement Living schemes. • You will be customer focused and may have experience of working with customers to solve complex issues.
  
  An awareness of working with vulnerable Adults would be desirable.
• Great interpersonal skills and used to communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services too.
• Confidence using digital devices, ICT software and systems.
• Due to the travel to offices and other facilities, a driving license and use of your own vehicle will be required.
• An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
