Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Team Leader to join the Safe Staffing and Bed Capacity team based at Wonford House in Exeter.,

  • To support the management and expenditure of all temporary staffing throughout the Trust including all bank and agency staffing, but excluding Medical Staffing.
  • To work in conjunction with senior clinicians and managers to identify required resource, timescales and review establishment.
  • To support the bed management process across all adult and older persons inpatient units, to include Out of Area beds when required.
  • To ensure compliance with National requirements, internal governance and improvement plans.
  • To deputise in the absence of the Corporate Services Manager.
  • To undertake the role of clinical in-reach for people that are placed in Devon beds not in their locality and who do not have an allocated recovery coordinator to act in the role of recovery coordinator until allocated or discharged from the ward.
  • To ensure robust support is in place for all people placed out of area or out of locality, to include their carers and families.
  • To support and facilitate the movement and transfer of patients to the correct locality as appropriate.
  • Support and facilitate the discharge of patients within other localities to their respective areas of residence.

  • Extensive experience of managing complex inpatient admissions / discharges.
  • Experience of working at a management level.
  • Experience of managing staff

  • Management of complex systems and processes.
  • Skilled and competent in the use of IT packages and equipment
  • Qualifications Essential
  • Qualified RMN Nurse / Allied Mental Health professional.
  • Training to level 3 in Safeguarding Adults : roles and competencies for Health Care staff
  • NMC / Professional Body Registered

  • Project management knowledge to masters level or equivalent
  • Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism
