Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit several School Crossing Patrol Officers across various locations within the region
As a successful applicant, you will be required to assist in the safety of children crossing the road at a designated point
You will work 7 hours per week term time only and will be paid for 48.40 weeks of the year. The salary for this role will be pro rata and reflective of the hours worked. Period of hours worked differ depending on the schools' opening and closing times
Your annual leave entitlement is 27 days pro rata and will need to be taken during the school holidays
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work outdoors, which includes all weather conditions. Protective clothing and training will be provided to the successful applicants

To ensure the safety of children and adults crossing the road at the designated point, as well as that of other road users
To maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross
To ensure that the School Warning Flashing Lights are working correctly, where applicable
To cooperate with managers and supervisors in complying with statutory health and safety duties
To report incidents, accidents and faults in accordance with protocol
