SEN Teaching Assistant

We are delighted to offer a range of exciting opportunities for experienced Teaching Assistants to support children on the autistic spectrum within schools across Northumberland.
- You will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and social development of pupils with autism.
- Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them fully engage in classroom activities.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Programmes (IEPs) to track pupil progress.
- Support students both inside and outside the classroom, enabling them to participate in all activities.
- Help maintain pupil records, including reading logs and homework diaries, to monitor achievements.
- Proven experience supporting children with autism.
- Knowledge of strategies to enhance learning and development.
- A successful track record of one-to-one support work.
- Familiarity with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- A solid understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with parents and external agencies.
