Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to improveservices for autistic people across the whole Devon footprint, including Torbay and Plymouth. A key responsibility of this role will be to provide clinical leadership to the MDT in the Devon Adult Autism Intervention Team (DAAIT) alongside the wider senior leadership team, and to support the ongoing development and delivery of psychology pathways within DAAIT. Clinicians work with other teams to improve access to mental health and social care services, develop knowledge to support their working with autistic adults via consultation, assessment & formulation. Supporting the members of DAAIT to deliver change through coaching style approaches will be another key responsibility.,

  • Working closely with the Service Manager, and wider senior leadership team to provide clinical and strategic leadership, and service development within the context of DAAIT and the wider health and social care system.
  • Providing clinical leadership and autism specific clinical supervision to the MDT including Psychology, Speech and language therapy and Occupational therapy to support the delivery of high quality evidence based services.
  • Providing a specialist clinical psychology service with neuro divergent affirming interventions
  • Supporting the promotion and development of neuro divergence services within DPT and the wider system.
