Full Job Description

Working 15 hours per week, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a wide range of duties appropriate to the post and job description to support a comprehensive secretarial service to the Blood Sciences department.

Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and E-mail coupled with proven secretarial skills (including audio typing) and previous experience of medical terminology is essential. You will be required to use the Health Board's patient database system and other relevant IT packages., The post holder will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and be flexible and adaptable in their approach to work. Using initiative, tact and diplomacy where appropriate and possess excellent communication skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
